About Me

I am Professor of Political Philosophy and Social Policy. My main research interests include examining the relationship between abstract theoretical/philosophical principles, and social and professional policies and practices; the politics and philosophy of disability and the disability rights movement; the political philosophies and ideologies of modern welfare states; the politics and philosophy of cultural recognition and toleration; liberal egalitarianism and contemporary Anglo-American political philosophy; philosophical and policy/practice debates concerning equality, diversity, social justice, fairness, social inclusion, reciprocity, value conflict, agency, freedom, autonomy, citizenship, and well-being.

I also teach across a range of modules at undergraduate and post graduate levels, including in social and political philosophy, sociology, and political theory, and supervise PhD and other post graduate students.
