About Me

I'm Course Leader for Sound and Live Event Production, and Lighting Design and Technology. I joined the University in 2006 after 20 years with the BBC, mainly in Wales. I maintain my interests in broadcast TV and bring those values to the University. I arrange collaborations whenever possible so that students have a taste of real live productions.
I have some programming skills in C++ and Python, and enjoy developing hardware interfaces between systems.
My main trained forte is lighting for TV. I was lucky enough to be sent on the TV Lighting course by the BBC many years ago and that has been a significant benefit to the students passing through our courses each year. The projects listed below give a taster of my activities.
