About Me

Rob is currently the Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education, a role which involves the strategic leadership and operational management of a diverse portfolio of subject areas that include education, policing, criminology, sport and psychology. The subject areas has in excess of 7000 full time students that are studying at various locations around the globe with many of the courses delivered in partnership with a network of industry organisations. Rob has worked at USW since 1999 in a variety of both academic and professional services roles. As a senior lecturer, he was course leader of the MSc Sport Management and BA Sports Development programmes, and he continues to be engaged in teaching and supervising dissertations at a postgraduate level. His passion remains centred on student and graduate employability with a particular emphasis on entrepreneurship. This is reflected within his research interests which focus upon curriculum design in enhancing employability. Rob is also a former Chair of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) - the professional body for sport.
