Rebecca Sayers qualified as a music therapist in 2003 from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, then gained her MA from UWE in 2015. Until 2011 she worked in the North West, specialising in music therapy with children in schools and at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. She is currently based in Cardiff working with children and adults with autism, and runs a singing group for people with lung conditions: ‘Singing for Lung Health Cardiff’. Rebecca works closely with other arts therapists through the ‘Creative Therapies Collective’. She has a private practice as a music therapy supervisor.
Becca is a member of the advisory panel for the charity ‘Music as Therapy International’. She is the chairperson of the Wales Arts Therapies Advisory Forum (WATAF) and between 2013-2019 was the WATAF representative on the Welsh Government advisory panel WTAC.
