I graduated from USW (University of Glamorgan at the time) in 1997 and applied to work as a Library Assistant. Apart from a year in another University department and four months working on an American university ship (https://www.semesteratsea.org/), I have spent my career working in the Library.

In 2002 I began a distance learning Masters degree with Aberystwyth University, after deciding that I would like to train to become a librarian. In 2005 I began in my current role, co-ordinating the online reading lists service, Aspire.
