Melody Cranbourne-Rosser

About Me

Melody is an HCPC Registered Applied Psychologist who has worked within the realms of health since the early 80s. She has worked for the University of South Wales since January 2017 (senior lecturer 2017-2019, then visiting lecturer 2019 onward) and prior to this taught at Cardiff Metropolitan University, University of Wales Trinity Saint David, and other HE/FE institutions. Her overarching theoretical orientation is Humanistic/Transpersonal and she has undertaken psychotherapeutic training in transpersonal psychology, systemic practice, third wave approaches, and creative arts therapies. Alongside her current teaching roles with USW and the Alef Trust, Melody works as a senior psychologist for the NHS and is an external examiner for a postgraduate programme based at Cambridge University. She was previously an executive committee member of BACP Spirituality (Chair from 2013-2016) and is currently Lead for the BPS DCoP Spirituality Special Interest Group, and a committee member for BPS DCoPW. She has worked therapeutically with children, young people and adults with a wide range of needs and complex histories.
