About Me

In the role of Head of Subject for Informatics and Electronics, I line manage a team of academics and provide academic leadership. I have gained considerable experience in these areas via 28 years of consultancy and technology transfer activities that has informed and enhanced both his teaching and research.Iain Shewring graduated from the Polytechnic of Wales in 1991 with a BEng(Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and gained a MSc from the University of Glamorgan in 1992, and has been a lecturer at the University of Glamorgan, and then the University of South Wales, for 26 years, teaching both Electronics and Computing topics at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. His research interests include: computer architecture, custom processor design, Internet of Things (IoT) and computer and network security.
