About Me
Professor Community Health & Care Services, University of South Wales/ PRIME Centre Wales, Cardiff/Director Wales School for Social Prescribing Research (WSSPR).
Carolyn is a nurse with over 20 years in the NHS as both practitioner and manager. She has worked in hospital and community settings, particularly in frailty and integrated care. She has been a trustee at Age Cymru Gwent for over 7 years. Since 2004 Carolyn has worked at the University of South Wales where she has developed health and Care management programmes and an expertise in applied mixed methods research. Her most recent studies range from leading the Wales School for Social Prescribing Research (WSSPR) and its network in partnership with the WCVA, the Family Resilience Assessment Instrument and Tool (FRAIT) and Evaluations for example the Neighbourhood District Nursing Pilots in Wales in 2020.
