About Me

Amber Jenkins graduated with a PhD in English Literature from Cardiff University in July 2019. She has taught Modernist Literature at Cardiff University at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her work on Virginia Woolf's To the Lighthouse will be published by Pace University Press in Spring 2021.

For her doctorate, Amber examined the work of the modernist writer Virginia Woolf and outlined new ways of reading her literary experimentation in the context of twentieth-century print, visual and material cultures. Her work also considers the extent to which literary materiality informs her feminist engagement with twentieth-century aesthetics, ontology and epistemology.

At the University of South Wales, she is exploring the ways in which civic engagement can benefit research and scholarly activity.
